About Swami Paramananda:
Swami Paramananda was born on 8th of October 1959 at Souillac in Mauritius. He was known as Rajendra Prasad Dassruth and after he experienced enlightenment he forbore the divine name 'Swami Paramananda" which has deep etymological meanings: the monosyllabic 'Swa" means 'the higher self'while on the other hand 'mi" means the lower self. Thus the word 'Swami" simply means a being that has transcended the lower self to attain the higher one; in this way he is born out of pure mind and consciousness. According to the science of Onomastics, 'Paramananda" means 'supreme enjoyer'. Only an enlightened being can be a supreme enjoyer; as to be one, you should be in total awareness and be a detached observer while enjoying the vagaries of existence at the same time.
