As I write this we are entering 2012, a very significant year for us Spiritual "junkies" ....what will it hold for us all? will we experience profound enlightenment? ....will we understand our reason for incarnating at this important time?
For me 2011 has been eventful, huge highs and equally as many lows. A huge thirst for knowledge, coupled with confusion as to where I go now. Loving the life I have created for myself and then realising that I am a slave to that life!
Disallusionment at the actions of people I held close and then acknowledging my own dark side.
In truth, we all know why we are here and have been working towards enlightenment since our soul first incarnated.
There won't be a sudden light bulb moment, a bang and crash or thunderbolt from God. The pathway is long with many twists and turns, and at some point it will seem much straighter and easier than before. The haze of confusion will lift and we will find peace and clarity with a deep sense of satisfaction that all is good with the world at that precise moment.
So don't "expect" something to suddenly happen because it's 2012, don't be disappointed with yourself because "nothings changed". You are changing and evolving everyday. Whenever you smile instead of frown or think love instead of anger or choose peace over hatred your soul is able to heal, and with healing comes enlightenment.
We have all been walking this pathway for so long, becoming a little more enlightened with each step. What's important is not how far we still have to travel but how far we have already come.
